Well done. For a first DR you've landed one of the finest
I've now picked up three from different periods, having learnt to appreciate aspects of each. I would rank the references I own in the middle tier of the ouevre. They are not among the approximately ten most coveted watches - of which yours is one - nor are they from the looser iterations that proliferated as time passed. There's no doubt that the bar was set highest when Daniel Roth himself was directly involved.
The journey has been rewarding. With the archives of Europa Star, translations from original industry coverage in French, a couple of books, and the insights of first-generation collectors, I've learnt a great deal and it's opened the door into some new directions.
Enjoy your beauty. It has its own place in the modern history of independent watchmaking.
