I agree with you, the old tradition of watchmaking skills is what define the philosophy of Parmigiani Fleurier ! I will publish other posts to highlight this know-how that fascinates me !

and to the fact that the dial structure is indeed created by hand work. I did not know that. After reading your post I took a mental note to investigate this. Do you have a weak spot for Parmigiani? I would really understand this! Cheers, Magnus

Parmigiani Fleurier have its own manufacturer "Quadrance et Habillage" which manufactures a variety of dials ! In my opinion, the hand work of the meteorite dial of the Tonda 1950 is also fabulous ! I will write on it very soon !

Parmigiani and its related company Vaucher are always full of surprises, and the good kind too. Interesting movements and watches that are a good blend of classical and new designs. Hodinkee had an interesting write-up about Parmigiani a while back:

It is true that the Toric's dial is very classic. Maybe you will have a change of mind with another watch ? I will write about the micro-rotor, love it too !
