Voutilainen vs Schwarz Etienne & Moritz Grossmann

There’s a marvelous little sub-collection accumulating in my watch box. I’m a fan of guillochage and have come to see Kari Voutilainen’s work as particularly fun yet intelligent… but I’m hardly the first to note that.

I’m a sucker for strong colors, and really enjoy the green version of his collaboration with Jeremy Oster on Schwarz Étienne’s “Roma Synergy”. I think of it as SE’s best model, especially in 42mm.

Then I discovered that Charles Kaufmann in Montreal made a purple watch with Voutilainen based on Moritz Grossmann’s “Benu Contemporary” Date version which I consider MG’s best model… and purple is my absolutely favorite color, so obviously I had to add it.

What next? Will have to save up for a while…

And yes: there’s a Joker thing happening here…
