Dear fellow purists, I would like to receive some feedback on this photo of my 1941 Remontoire... What could I improve and how could I make the anglage pop a bit more? Thank you in advance.. ISO 100 - 1/250 - F20 with flash was the set up for this picture...

Yeah, I might have to start stacking multiple pictures...

I'll give it a try. After zoom out and stack them into one picture might work...

Btw.: I‘d photoshop movement/case/limitation numbers out of a picture before posting it online. But maybe I‘m just too cautious

I've read that before, why would it be smart to photoshop those numbers out? I never really understood it.

At least the case number is only known by the owner and Grönefeld. In this case also the fact which limitation number is connected to which case number. If someone uses censored pictures for some form of fraud, it will be just any one Remontoire. If they ...

I like the photo too. I am no expert and I do not own a usable flash, but I think f20 is a tad small.

I used F20 because I wanted everything in focus and sharp. Which F Stop would you suggest?

But I would have to say that in my macro the depth of field is so small that I try to get the sweet spot around f8 and place my trust on my dependable Photoshop to do the stacking. Also, I take lots of photos and occasionally I get the one that was on my ...

Improve? There is nothing to improve. In my view it’s an incredibly good picture. If anything at all you might consider 1 stop plus on ISO By the way, the subject of the photo is also superb

To come back to your question about how to improve your photo, here after a few ideas... 1. Settings at F/20 and 100 ISO are perfect for DOF and definition 2. Definitely a perfectly crisp focused photo improves the result. Photo stacking is a good option.... 

Thank you Mike, I shot this picture with my Canon 80D and a Canon EF 100mm Macro lens. I checked out Helicon Focus, which I was not familiar with, and it looks easy for stacking. I'll get right back at it tonight and will contact you if I run into any pro... 

As others have said, a simple light box with external and movable light sources (5000-5600 k) would give you more options. By adjusting the position of the light sources you have more freedom to achieve the wanted results.

That pic is good but a little dark. The two most important things is a good lightning and a good macro lens. When it comes to product photographing so is a fixed lightning the best you can have because then you can adjust control the light and see the res...
