To come back to your question about how to improve your photo, here after a few ideas...
1. Settings at F/20 and 100 ISO are perfect for DOF and definition
2. Definitely a perfectly crisp focused photo improves the result. Photo stacking is a good option. There are good specific softwares for managing this issue (Helicon Focus...) but Photoshop works well for that also
3. As always in photography, light is key and specially in macro photo. If you want anglage details to pop a bit more, you have to move your flash in different locations so that the light comes out better on anglage details without having a light relection on the glass case back. Obviously it is much easier to do with a studio flash (Profoto, Elinchrom, or Godox) which is using a pilot lamp than with a cobra flash but a cobra flash works well also by test and learn
4. For improving the result photo editing is nowadays very easy where you can increase or decrease so many parameters. Lightroom and Photoshop are the most common ones but there are many others including some free softwares
5. Of course equipment also plays a role: using a Leica D-Lux or a good reflex camera with professional lenses will give better results than a simple compact camera of course but I assume this is not the issue here
as skills and techniques are sometimes more important than the equipment if you know how to use it
Point 3 and 4 are probably the ones that will be easy and effective for a quick and easy result I would say.
Do not hesitate to send me a PM on some particular points if you wish.
