Type 1 Slim DX2 is released with two straps
The tan hammered calf, that makes a stunning match with the dial, and a green rubber one.
The green also looked great and is for the warm UAE climate a good solution.
I had a chance to handle the watch during the presentation and it certainly is such a different version.
The hands and indexes are white and filled with Superluminova
This time the dial has no cut-out patterns but engraved Arabic geometric shapes.
Each pattern is in a different direction. This, let me call it guilloche, takes an enormous amount of time to implement because the settings have to be changed constantly because the direction of each pattern is different. The result is spectacular and eye-catching and clearly different from the previous version and from the regular Ressence collection, which appeals to me so much, because of its simplicity.
The 9 components that make up the dial are finished in sand color PVD.
The two Hodinkee- and these two Seddiqi collaborations are a world of its own in the Ressence collection, and they show how Benoit Mintiens is able to expand his signature style, from a modern simplicity
to pieces of art.
I like this and last year's version a lot, but I still prefer the more simple style of the regular collection.

A very interesting independent brand that stands out! So different then anything out there..This one is very unique!!
One day I could see myself with one of wearing one of their black or blue dials, just need to save some money!! -D-
Really nice, very impressive to see how the design is evolving.
For all the hand-wringing over servicing independents, here we have a watch that will actually be close to impossible to service if the brand isn't sold to a conglomerate when the owner retires in 10 years.
I seriously doubt that!
When a brand like this is sold, it will be sold as it is, with all their expertise and watch makers. Or do you think that the owner is working on the watches itself? If it was true what you said, there would be no future at all like brands as Urwerk, Haut...
