Two years is not long in this sphere; your order might still be making its way through the queue

Benziger has been making skeletonized pieces for maybe two decades - I’ve seen at least 8-10 of them, friends have owned them but never bought one.
What is the question you are seeking to answer? Ordering? I think best to find one already done so you can decide if you like it or not rather than gamble.
As it’s your first visit ( or post anyway ) , let me say that you’ll find an extremely knowledgeable group here, with long memories and fingers on the pulse of today’s masters.
Stefan Kudoke comes to mind ... see below
If you in the US try WatchBuys, his distributor, and they handle Benziger too.
Order Process
Your Deposit - Terms and Conditions
This page will allow you to process your $xxxx 50% non-refundable deposit for the Jochen Benzinger 3/4 Skeleton. By making this deposit, you understand and agree to the following terms:- The $xxxx 50% deposit is non-refundable and will be charged to your credit card immediately. This deposit is non-transferable (to another product or to another customer).
- The remaining balance due of $xxxx 50% (plus applicable sales taxes) will be owed once your watch ships from Jochen Benzinger in Germany.
- Reservations made now are estimated to ship within four months after you place your deposit.
- We will ship all watches in the exact order in which we received your reservation and deposit. We are unable to provide you with an estimated day or month when your specific watch will arrive as we are dependent upon Jochen Benzinger's production schedule.
- Additional delays could occur that are beyond our control and you will be kept informed of any delays.
- Because you are making a non-refundable deposit all sales are final and the watch is not eligible for return.
