I actually like the design here, and I think the time-date in blue could be a very attractive watch especially throwing a NATO or more casual strap on it. How many independents actually make an in-house sports watch anyway? DeBethune is the only other I can think of?
The big problem, as others have mentioned, is that MSRP is way over market value IMO. I can see this easily taking a $10k+ hit on resale, so it's really a matter of whether independent lovers can justify that hit. Personally, the piece doesn't quite speak enough to me for that.

Just not attractive to my eyes. Hasn't even been released and it looks dated already. And the price...I've heard between 25-30K...I do not see either the luxury or value proposition here. Cheers, John
I like it, it seems like it holds to the UJ DNA and the more I look at it, the more it seems pretty okay.

Perhaps lug protectors
and a more rugged case design/look. The softness may deter some. I love the satin/gross contrasts found on the RO and Nautilus. This one may be too monotone in finish for such a big watch.
UJ price point
is very high. It may be necessary but many lovers of the brand just cannot find a way to make it happen.
