it's also priced attractively. I didn't like this movement when it first launched but I think LF is on to something here with the clean design on the case, movement and dial. Hope it does well.

A new Laurent Ferrier: The Classic Opaline.
By: amanico : July 2nd, 2020-09:29
Here are the first pictures of the new Laurent Ferrier, the classic Opaline, I wanted to share with you, before discovering the watch in the real life. Here we have a 40 mm big, 10, 70 mm high Titanium Grade 5 case, a white silver opaline dial, and a new ...
Beautiful

Personally love the 24hr markers so that I don't have to subtract twelve in my head
I like the dial side, but

The watch has what looks to be a basic lever escapement. I’d be more interested if it had the natural escapement, since that has some real novelty around it. Case / hands / dial are good though. Would prefer 4hz movement too if I’m being picky.
The escapement looks interesting.

Not a fan of the closed bridge design. I think part of the charm of a nice manual wind is how you can read what is going on.

Definitely very LF design...

Obviously there is not much novelty in the case design and I am more than fine with it as I absolutely love this design As for the opaline dial I think I like it a lot and I shall most probably confirm this when I see it in person, it is always difficult ...
Good grief, I love it!

I think it is priced at an "entry level." 28,500 SwFr excluding tax. M4

I like it!

looks good on the front. The choice of titanium is interesting. The movement is nice, although it's too bad that it's not as elaborate as the micro rotor. But I really like the price! 30k is a really good sweet spot for a well finished time only piece. I ...
I like the classic look of this

and even though I prefer the movements from the other LF. The movement is abit too plain for my personal taste even though I know it will be well finished as per LF’s standards. I do salute LF for introducing an entry level model at a more wallet friendly...
No no....

...so this is $30k for a non-precious metal watch, right? Let us be honest, yes, it is a beautiful timepiece and nicely executed. But anyone would spend that much money on this one when you see what competition offers at this price point ? Hard to believe...
Fair point Nico :-)

Do not get me wrong, I find both watches great. If I had a choice, I would probably pick none of them though. Maybe Breguet Classique or Tradition or some other alternative....there are many strong contenders in this price range.
I find it very attractive

Love the Ti case, the dial layout and color scheme, the fact it's a manual wind wih 80 hours PR. Ahh, I almost forgot... those LF hands! What I miss most is the double-impulse natural escapement we know from the micro-rotor movement. This would have broug...
