The interesting story behind the Czapek Quai des Bergues

I fell in love with this one the second I saw it and finally got one in 2024. The below link is from the Naked Watchmaker deconstructing the original Czapek pocket watch (model 3430) on which the Quai des Bergues is based. In the article I learned that the original pocket watch had an additional one day security power reserve beyond the 7 days of power reserve.
To my great surprise, it seems my watch has the additional security day power reserve on top of the official 7 days PR. I tested it this week and confirmed it extends a full day after the 7 days have passed. It made me love it even more!
Can other owners of the Quai des Bergues confirm this?

is a tad too modern-looking for my very traditional and conservative taste, so I didn’t get to the point of seriously thinking about acquiring one. But nonetheless, for me or for my personal taste at least, it’s the best model from Czapek.
