I have just received word that my L Leroy is on its way to me from Paris and I cannot wait to try it on when it finally arrives in Malaysia. This Osmior (which refers to an ancient metal alloy, primarily composed of gold with a colour similar to platinum)...  

It was unknown to me too until earlier this month

It is rare these days to find a hidden gem that does not require selling one's body parts!

I have always been intrigued by the brand which I believe is from 1785, hence older than most. Many collectors may not have even have heard of the brand and that suits me fine as I like rare watches.

when the watch finally arrives next week or the week after

I am actually more curious how the crown feels not due to its size (as I have been trained on Cartier watches with impossibly impractical crowns!) but how it feels due to its design. This is particularly relevant as it is a manual winding watch.

the law on duty free cars had changed on1 January 2026 when only cars costing RM300k and below (approximately USD76k) would be allowed into the island duty free. A real bummer for the Malaysian luxury and supercar industry where 95% of customers had taken...

It's a lovely watch. (I am likewise a fan of Denis's work.) I was talking with Simon Bull, formerly at THA (at the time the Osmiors were made) and I am pretty sure he mentioned that the (very slim) movements came from ETA and were modified by THA. Other m... 

Unfortunately the watch is too large for my small wrist so I have had to return it to the dealer in France.

With you adding to your collection again I’m thinking you want to be rid of the Daniel Roth; which I would gladly help you out with for a very small fee.

but the Daniel Roth was auctioned off at Phillips Geneva last month! And for the record, the L Leroy was too large for me so it has been returned to the French AD for a full refund. I am down to seven watches )
