Steve Phillips Questions
I have recently become the owner of a Phillips Guardian of Time watch number 14 in titanium with a skeletonized gold movement. I own a hundred or so fine watches and am really fascinated by this particular watch. It is the lightest weight automatic I have ever touched and features a symetric see saphire front and back with the works suspended by a thin Titanium band. Does any one have a reasonable idea of the true value of this rare piece? It is rather interesting that the watch also has a very tiny Grim Reaper engraved at the back center crystal, as Mr. Phillips died not long after he did this series of watches. I was told that this watch was actually on his bench at the time of his death.
I would appreciate any accurate info that could help me determine a reasonable value for this unique piece. This message has been edited by Dr No on 2009-01-22 08:46:00
