Welcome to the AHCI forum and Congrats on your new  Phillips Gaurdian #14.  It seems like you are a experienced collector with owning over 100 watches and glad to hear you actually wear your watches for enjoyment and not to impress others.  You are correct that is the "place for true watch lovers".

One of the subjects that we do not discuss is value/pricing/discounts for various reasons.  One of them is that we are here, and like you stated yourself, for the enjoyment and interest in horology.  

Your reply to Cazalea was uncalled for. Cazalea wrote: "Please don't take offense at my comments. But there is NO TRUE VALUE until it sells." and proceeded to give his opinion as what to do.  On Cazalea's second reply he even gave you a fantastic schematic in an effort to help.

I understand that you are looking for the monetary value for insurance purposes but we DO NOT do that anywhere here on the open forum. If you are not shilling (and I'm not saying you are/aren't) it is reasonable to ask others if they would like to contact you via PM if they knew of information that may assist you for insurance purposes.  In your orginal post you did not state you were requesting value for insurance reasons only.

This statement you made may seem like a shill for many on this forum and probably where the thought of a shill occurred (once again I am not implying that you are shilling).  If you have noticed we have locked and/or deleted threads many times for the same type of posts as it is in violation of our guidelines and not in the spirit of the forums.  

I think that all this is a simple case of miscommunication so please be courteous and respectful to others.  I hope that you are enjoying your newly acquire and unique timepiece.
