The watch here is definitely an extension of 1970s design, but is very different than the Royal Oak or Nautilus, which are significantly thinner watches.  The Moser Streamliner watch wears much thicker, whereas the Nautilus wears quite thin.  This watch is also much sportier whereas those are much more elegant.

It seems the world is going away from screws on the bracelet to pins.  Patek Philippe Nautilus transitioned a few years ago to pins as well.  I much prefer screws, but I guess I'm becoming a dinosaur.

One has a much thinner profile, also, the Patek Philippe Nautilus is extremely comfortable because the bracelet is hinged at the bottom of the case whereas the Moser is hinged at the middle of the case.

The bracelet reminds me of snake skin or a Dainese motorcycle armor...

This is where H. Moser shines, great movements with very beautiful finishing and an excellent balance spring that's made in-house (not a basic flat balance spring).

Hands on review of the Moser Streamliner Centre Seconds

 By: foversta : February 22nd, 2021-13:29
As we all know, there has been a strong trend in watchmaking for several years now: the versatile sport-chic steel watch with integrated bracelet. There are many reasons for the explosion in demand for this type of watch. I see two main ones. The first re...

Potentially a future design classic ...

Moser managed to design a watch that is instantly recognisable. I think it will age very well. Excellent review FX.

Brilliant!

Many thanks Xavier for your nicely written and elaborate review of the Streamliner Centreseconds 👏 I much enjoyed reading it and agree with your assessment whole heartedly. I had ordered one without seeing it in autumn last year and once I took delivery I...

Foversta, do you think that Lange sold fewer watches in recent years because of the changing work life balance?

Im not really into that design, but you have to give Moser credit for their originality and execution. Thank you very much for this fantastic review. I much enjoyed it!

Another great review.

...this makes the Centre Seconds the purest model of the Streamliner line. How exciting!

Your analysis is spot on - this watch is a daily wearer, Haute Horlogerie, piece with a very thoughtful design.

It's clear they have spent years thinking the design through. Apparently, they started with the bracelet and then designed the case (heard that in an interview with Edouard Meylan)

Great review as always

One advantage Moser enjoys at its size is that it does not need to go after the largest audience with the safe copycat. The Streamliner succeeds as a less familiar design in the fastest growing segment.

Super nice review Xavier!

Your mixing in of what the watch feels like is great. It’s always part of the narrative that we miss sometimes. Still not a fan they should have done more with the movement like they did with the chrono. I’ll see it soon in the metal as my good friend Epi...

Hi Hugo!Look forward to that. Was it April?

I might even join you on the trip to Schaffhausen for a CH road trip as I need to go and see Urwerk as soon as I can anyway.

the only one Streamliner is the original, limited chronograph: Firstly because of the movement and function. Second of all because if I compare the dial of the Streamliner Centre Seconds and the Chrono, I feel the dial of the former too empty without the ...

Bravo Adam!

I agree, much more value in the Streamliner Chrono over the Nautilus 5711!

Got mine today...

It took 8 months to get it. I agree with the review. In particular, I agree that the crown looks like an after thought (as opposed to those on LF watches). Still, I'm delighted with mine! ...
