Should not have happened !

So sorry to hear this sham1 and thanks for pointing this experience out as I would have never heard of it otherwise . I don't usually interfere with discussions on our brand but thought it was important I do here.
The chronometry of our pieces is tested between -1 to + 10 seconds a day. We are talking of a 14mm flying balance wheel at a 18'000 oscillation/hour rate ! +5 seconds a day is a superlative chronometer from a 4Hz Rolex, and we would never ensure that timing even though some of our pieces do achieve it (one of our Legacy Perpetual clients assures me that he is in that range). The AD should have informed you accordingly and am very sorry about this.
Over the 12 years of MB&F we have pledged to have all repairs done in under 6 weeks - and any repair is taken care of in our workshops in Geneva - We have held that commitment for 95% of them. Sometimes when the case needs to be sent back for big refurbishments to the casemaker unfortunately delays can be seen (which clearly was not the case here). What I hear here is that the AD must have kept the piece for some time before sending it out, and same on receiving it back. It happens unfortunately way too often, especially in Asia, and I feel very frustrated that your opinion has been tainted by this experience. Be sure that if ever you were to trust us again, you would appreciate the full measure of our customer service.
Warmest regards,
Maximilian Busser
