Riefler Patent
There is a patent by Riefler for this escapement.
I once had a copy and will see if I can find it and post it.
I have given it a good look, but think it would only work for a clock.
While we always say that increasing the free motion of the balance
increases the accuracy there is a compromise in a watch as the impulse
also extracts energy from the balance that has been added by movement
of the watch.
While I really like the idea of Reiflers escapement, I don't think it is practical in a wrist watch.
