Or a Smoker timer. I set the minute increment hand 5 hours ahead of the hour hand. Smoking a butt for 5 hours worked great. Sort of like a math/science project that was more fun to do than with one of the chronographs.
Your photo is a perfect example of how to use the timing function. It's simpler and even more intuitive than a chronograph. By the way, the dial is a true chameleon, albeit a beautiful chameleon. Enjoy your kabobs. M4
I never have a need to time anything to an exact second. But, setting 10 minutes for eggs, or the overtime of the Boston Bruins starts in 18 minutes... yah, this is what this watch is made for!
