Opinions please
I've got one of Ben Chee's watches from his BCHH brand on order and he's offering a choice of movement finishes. I'd value your opinions. I'm leaning towards the classic but still undecided. I have time as the watch is still some time away from fruition.

I like the first one but ...
Personally, I think that the design and finishing of the rotor is disappointing. As the movement is a Vaucher Caliber 5401/32 they should be able to request an alternative design.

And now that you mention it, I actually prefer the rotor on my Tonda with the older 701 movement. Thank you for pointing that out. It really did not occur to me. ...

I'd agree that the first is more traditional and attractive overall. It has interior angles on the bridges as well which are typically a sign of good hand finishing.
But the second is also more unique and original. Would be curious understand more about it, what the black sections and rotor are made of, if the quality of the anglage is different, etc. I'd give the second option more consideration if you already have a...

The Tonda 1950 movement is quite nicely finished in a traditional Swiss style
I'd be more tempted to consider option #2 in that case to add some differentiation. Regardless, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice!
I would say with that case, the second option seems the better choice
