Ochs und Junior due ore

Jan 27, 2022,13:13 PM

I received a press release today for a new model that features the two time zone complication of Ludwig Ochslin. Unlike the previous administration at O&J, which focused on nearly unlimited customization, the new team have decided to offer some stock inventory items that are predictable (plus other pieces that are customizable).

The first line of stock watches (the OCHS LINE) released today: the due ore (note, as an editor I deplore the use of all lower case letters!) has two models, both with dark blue dials. You have a choice of smoke green or orange lettering and indices. The cases are 39mm in grade 5 titanium with cordura fabric straps. The complication allows you to read the local time and remote time simply, and you can adjust the remote time quickly and easily.

Price 3500 CHF (Swiss) or 3230 CHF (export)

This is the O&J complication I like best although I never bought one during its previous generation. BTW the complication iis very simple, only a few parts, and is mounted on a 2824-2 movement.

Leaving behind, if you can, any thoughts of the company's management shuffles, what do you think of the watch and its pricing/value/uniqueness?

Cheers,

Cazalea

I've been a fan of Ochs since his work with MIH. I really like their take on simplicity.

Love them! Looks cute heh

I like the simplicity of the design and the 39mm titanium case. A night / day indicator for the second time zone would be a useful addition.
