Not lucky enough to be an owner but I do love all the DB 28's and the Kind of Blue is no exception.
I think only you can decide if it is too flashy or not as we don't really know enough about your lifestyle or what you feel comfortable with. I would say though there is a guy who wears one on High Stakes Poker and even under harsh TV lighting it is still quite subtle if that helps at all.

The main reason I ask is that right now I get quite a few comments on the DB28, maybe too many. I feel like if it was SOLID BLUE there would be even more lol...
I think its all a matter of taste.
I personally think its a great looking watch and ofcourse its more in your face then a steel color case but for me it doesn’t matter, similar with a all black watch .
