My horological journey....
It was more like...
Pam > Ap Roo > Rm > Independent watches ....
I am still a paneristi, i collected many SE pam such as 127,249,322,277,225... and i love modern watches more than vintage ones... when some of my friends decided to go historic to pre-V line, i backed off and realized that this might be the end of my journey in panerai line... i have nothing against collecting vintage watches, but given my current preference,style and ideology, i wouldn't even consider of buying one any time soon... Thus, unlike Sam who decided to indulge himself in the richness of regressive panerai history, i decided to go forward into the progressive line on my horology journey... somehow, i just ended up here... buying all these alienated objects....
As for the classic ones, i had a pp5980-1a before, i thought it was for me, but the love for the watch came so short... and i sold it in weeks time.... i think at my age range, in the early thirties, i wouldn't think of buying another patek any soon....
i love the new Richard Lange tourbillon PLM, while the Fp. Journe DS tourbillon will always be on top of my wishlist... and as for the independent, i wouldn't hesitate to buy Kari observatoire (in Pt case-Rg dial combination - like the one recently sold in this forum) and the next version of MB&F LM, if Max decides to make one.... FYI .. i am officially broke now... i don't think i can make any big move any soon this year... i hope i can be just like mr.Horo... i heard he grows money trees in his back yards...=)
As for my next Holy Grail in the next 5 years time.... it would be GF invention 1! It seems like an impossible dream for the current me...
but, i always believe that everything is made twice, first in your mind and then in the real life... so, i tell myself to never underestimate my very own dreams...
This pic was taken earlier this year, just about the time when i sold my UN freak and Rm10 to fund the beautiful RM11 asian boutique.... and yes, i still play nintendo DS=)
