Mono what a nice read and the added pictures are great too.
I did wear your watch on a few occasions and agree with you that, despite its big (relative) size of 44mm, it is very comfortable to wear. I was surprised, again and again, by the legibility of the watch as the pictures I have seen did make me seriously doubt about that. The hands are very nice and a great complement to the dial.
Thoughtful of Stepan applying the AR coating to the inside of the crystal!
With regards to the skelletonized date disc - did Stepan ever thought of omitting the leading zero's on the first days of the month?
I like your watch but we have established that it doesnt look good on my wrist ... but for people like me Stepan has a nice gold watch with moonphase (is that also a Korona model?)
And the cufflinks ... I think that every watchmaker/brand should make "matching" cufflinks available - I am sure it will sell well!
Thanks Mono for a great read!
Edwin

I do like his watches a lot, also the fact hat the backside of the watch is almost as interesting as the frontside, makes it very attractive. Have a feeling that there are quite a few around here. GEO
Wow, what a watch!

your new watch from the hands of the man who designed and made it... well, no AD can match that feeling! That's for sure. And besides that, Stepan is an incredibly nice guy, so an evening in town is also something i can recommend
True words....

Oh so true words, Patrick. On my weblog i shared some experiences with one of the biggest AD's in the Netherlands... let me just say that the responses where overwhelming. And also your words about meeting a watchmaker that somehow touches you, or with wh...
Great report, Frank

Thanks a lot for your review. It shows very good how much (manual) work is put into the watch. After reading your report it is absolutely clear that such an individual watch can not be sold cheap, although it uses a standard ebauche. I hat the pleasure to...
Excellent review, Frank

Very thorough and accompanied by fantastic photos. You make a very convincing case for this watch, and I must admit that the aesthetics of Sarpaneva grows on me - having been quite skeptical originally. No doubt that Sarpaneva has found his niche in the w...
