I don't know how he does it at his price point and given his limited production. And he is such a pleasure to deal with, as well.

How does his ordering process work? Were you able to customize anything?

Fairly simple

I simply got in touch with Torsti via his website and then emailed back and forth a few times, paid a deposit, balance upon completion. Other than the usual choices he offers (color of movement, name tag or print, choice of numerals), I asked for no numer...

The back side looks gorgeous.

Have great wear experience with your unique watch. It is a Swiss watch.

Thank you

quite enjoyable.

Visit the Laine website

I was surfing on the website. A nice collection. I like the 1817 with engraving techniques. It is a real craftsman who won prestiges watch prices.

Many congratulations. I do like the stepped dial. And the shorter index markers I have not seen before either.

Glad to hear to you a happy with the watch. Enjoy it.

Thanks Jay!

In retrospect, though, the next dial I would get would have longer indices. Or, perhaps, none at all. I'm really enjoying it but still thinking about straps. I don't think the navy blue it has now does it any favors.

The strap is a big one for this watch given the dial colour.

If you are close to somewhere that you can visit and see hides and straps in person with the watch that would be best. My Laine has a grey dial, and I have a matte grey gator on it which I originally bought for my Datograph (no longer with me), it was cus...

Yup, that would be perfect

Unfortunately, I'm far away from any strap makers that I'm likely to use. I was thinking of going matt as well, perhaps in a dark grey. Perhaps nubuck.

Thanks friend!
