Quite another ball game to run a fairly large firm with such relatively laege manufacturing output with such a consistent and high quality, compared with atelier/ small workshops. Quite an amazing feat. The difference between "prêt-à-porter" and "sur mesure". I imagine that the sur mesure and the prêt-à-porter at Patek amount to about 1 or 2/1000 of the manufactured output?

As much as I respect PP, I'd not call them a "small number manufacturer". A small number manufacturer is in my opinion, a manufacturer that/who produces 100 to 1000 less tham PP per annum.

There are some models in the collection that do offer such homeopathic numbers, per year as you know. Your number suits more the definition of a workshop, an atelier rather than an industrial scale manufacturer. And there is obviously also an atelier at P...
