Louis Erard had told me not to expect shipment of my watch until April, so it was a nice surprise when they e-mailed me last week to say they were sending my watch to me. Somehow I also received #1 of the series! I have been loving the big blue minute han...

had 1 of 178 as well. Maybe they are not numbering them?

But I would have read the “1 of 178” on the caseback the way you did (namely, this is #1, and they are all numbered as “N of 178”, for N=1, 2, ..., 178)...else, perhaps they all carry the same inscription, just to indicate “this is one of 178”?🤔 Hopefully... 

I like the fact that we have both worn the same watch.
