If you get another watch, it doesn't add a lot of utility to your life. You can only enjoy one or two watches a day. But with this clock, if you put it in your office, you can enjoy it almost every day! Plus! It's a tax write off! It's a business expendit...

I love the destination moon, but I wouldn‘t be able to set it up in my bedroom or such.

It didn’t occur to me to check on the ticking. I have a Dalibor Farny Nixie clock in my bedroom, these are silent.

This watch made a lot of noise! A big ticking noise on the nightstand! And the watch was already resting on four layers of polishing cloths which should dampen the sound a bit. This watch has an unusual "Robin" escapement. The first two nights, I was wond...  

But it's charm was not forgotten.

There might be a small buzzer on the circuit board so it might be able to make some beeping sounds. But no speaker on the circuit board so it can't play any complex tones.

For instance, instead of the time, you can program it to display the distance in kilometers that the Earth has traveled on its orbit around the sun so far this year. Our orbit is around 149 million kilometers. How do they display that with only 8 digits?

And at 1.7m, it definitely helps in reading the time. When I first saw this, I tried to figure out how to read the time without first reading the article. Kinda figure out until the last 2 tubes…so we can now set meeting time down to the 1/100 seconds 😂 s... 

Yes! The size is quite large! Nobody will give an excuse for not knowing what time it is!

I am a long time fan of the brand and this amazing new clock is just wow 🤩.

I think clocks are going to be the next big thing. Nixie clocks have already been rising in popularity the past 10 years or so. If you look at it, some of the biggest influencers are getting heavy into clocks. Heads of watch departments for auction houses... 

I have some nice additions but would love to add a Nixie clock at some point

Think partners who own portions of Audemars Piguet, heads of watch departments at auction houses, a former head of an auction house watch department, and various other watch experts. I'd say you'll be in good company!

I feel like saying that Urwerk is the independent brand I love most aside of Sarpaneva, but in a diametrically opposite context - Avant-garde space-themed context . This one is, as you eloquently put it, a work of art in constant motion, and like Erwin Sc... 

I haven't read Schrodinger's book. Might have to add that to my reading list! Thank you for sharing that anecdote!
