I echo your sentiments.

I must confess the Stoic watches are not appealing at all.
Peter is also one of my favourite watchmakers and the early PSM stuff was brilliant.
His new venture “Naked Watchmaker” is interesting and worthwhile, is I’m not quite sure where he fits into Stoic watches.
I just hope the Stoic venture is profitable for Peter and let’s hope we see his return to mechanical horology soon.

You may have heard that Peter has joined a new watch company called Stoic since he was last known to have left his own brand speake Marin. I await patiently for their developments, but I must say I'm quite disappointed with this decision. I'm not sure if ...

Just checked out the website of Stoic, and I'm not even sure why he's running that - maybe he's got something bigger planned, so will be watching that space.
I find this news very sad…

Peter is one of the industry’s shining stars. He is also not the first person to part company with the brand that bares the name of the creator. Think Morgan Cars and Charles Morgan. I will try and contact Peter and post the reply (with his agreement). I ...
That would be great.

Please let him know there are many admirers of his still out there. We would love to see Peter back in the mechanical horological world. Thanks If he can’t call his cases Piccadilly for copyright reasons, what about DillyPicc? 😀
When brands change owners...

It is often a very difficult path between the founder / founding family and the new owner. Not trying to approportion any responsibility or blame - each situation is different and different viewpoints are fully legitimate (even if often not compatible). W...
Peter did not leave PSM to create *those* watches...
By: Ornatus-Mundi : June 22nd, 2018-02:31
he left PSM due to differences with the new owners, then created The Nakled Watchmaker site, and eventually took the opportunity to join the Stoic team. I personally cannot see what would attract a watchmaker of his calibre to Stoic, but it is very possbi...
I eagerly await as well

That said, I still strongly feel he should return to sm, work it out with them, and work on the ideas that he wants to work on. Sm needs him, and it's most natural for him to be back at the brand too
I would guess when Peter left PSM

there would be a non compete caveat to his departure. That might be why there was the big change to the Naked watchmaker; which is actually really unteresting. Possibly Stoic is more of that or just keeping his foot in the door until something different c...
