I don't usually talk in 'grail' terms
There are so many great watches I *can* find and afford, so many that I can find but not afford, so many that I can afford but not find, and so many that I could neither find nor afford, that talking like one watch is a Holy Grail just doesn't make sense.
So I'm not going to say that the Haldimann H1 is my grail.
But... it kind of is.

Mr. Haldimann designed the escapement to make a very nice sounding audible tick ...

and then you meet Beat and visit his manufacture
and then you are committed - at least that is what happened to me. One of the few independents who really does everything by hand. No CNC for him. Best Andreas
