Independents

the UNITAS movement with Bernhard's proprietary balance, I am as much in love with this intriguing construction.

However, I am having a problem with the logic of his watch. Why would you strive to advance watchmaking as an art and as it stood in the 20s of the last century, and design a case around it that is rooted in the 1950s? It might well reflect the aesthetic preferences of the creator, but creates an inconsistent (in my view) product.

Like the proverbial 'two sides of a coin', front and back side of the watch have little conceptual connection.
