Could they be more different

I had these both on my desk and it hit me how strikingly different these are. The montblanc villeret piece is drama (aided by the strap) - bright finishing, enamel dial, snail scale, I think every part of the movement has been touched. The LF is the opposite, restrained luxury- the case so perfectly round and unassuming , the dial simple and elegant, the movement highly finished but not dramatic like the MB. I will say here if this was the micro-rotor they would be more in line with the cote de Geneve and more anglage.
Another fun fact - the wind just about as different as could be, yet congrument with their look. The LF is buttery smooth with the long blade ratchet making the most satisfying click. The MB wind is more chunky, requiring more effort - I feel I am turning over a big v12. Just an interesting juxtaposition!

Both styles have their place in a collection! I'm glad you mention the LF's winding--I don't think I've ever enjoyed the feel of winding a watch as much as I do Laurent Ferrier. Maybe it's time I get myself one....?

I do find the Mb more appealing right now. I think I need to change up the strap on the LF, their combo is sort of blah, despite being a great strap.

The MB is an extrovert, g wagon, in your face (I do have the OEM black strap as well). The LF is refined, S class, laid back. Fun to compare.
