Congrats on this watch which indeed made using Habring2's Dead Seconds mechanism...

 

which for the user means: flawless performance and always spot on jumping seconds. I have yet to see a dead seconds mechanism which jumps as effortlessly the Habring2 construction and without any jitters at the next stop.

It is indeed a remarkable solution, very simple in its mechanical foundation, effective and on top - in my opinion at least - with near perfect operation.

While I find your new watch attractive, I think that Arnold & Son has yet to find a distinct and consistent design language. I too often discover inspirations from other brands. In your watch I see some Jacquet-Droz elements. But this, I admit, is a question of personal preference. Nevertheless, it is a watch with character.

Dead seconds and retrograde date. I considered buying the red gold version available at a dealer nearby, but was never quite convinced with the color combination. The steel version, however, with grey/white dial and blue hands, totally won me over! I read...

He has a great example of a dead seconds complication from Richard Habring. In addition there are quite some owners of the JLC Geophysic True Second on the forum, albeit the watch has not been out for long enough for any potential long term issues to emer... 

Saw a vintage Rolex Tru Beat movement video on YouTube, it works in entirely different way...

Jaquet Droz Deadbeat indeed has exact same layout, albeit rotated 90° clockwise. It was another watch I would consider but never had a chance to see it in the metal to compare the two. In fairness to Arnold & Son though, I believe TBR was introduced a yea...
