I’ve also been trying to rile up 9 other members of my local watch club to agree on a specific Erwin variation that we can then order as a group. Alas, it is easier said than done.

As for the debate on collabs, to me, it affects how I view a specific watch journalism platform (SJX, Hodinkee, Fratello, Monochrome, ABTW etc) in terms of their journalistic objectivity and integrity when they report on brands that they collaborated with, and brands which refused to collaborate with them. Does that make sense?

In person in the metal I have to say I’m pretty happy with it. As I mentioned above, the dial may not be to everyone’s taste but for me I’m really into it.

The Stars are the feature of the dial, and the dead seconds the feature of the watch.
I do think they did well with the concept and execution here. It’s on the dressier side perhaps, but a strap change might alter that. I will admit that SJX is a regular read for me, perhaps the only one among their peers I read regularly.

Habring was on the list for some time, and I think another wouldn’t be something I’d rule out in the future. I have been very happy with the case, the size and overall construction/finish.
