Art, from whence do these words spring?
Perhaps you and Bart had long conversations about those aesthetic details in the watch design? Or perhaps you have stepped up to a higher quality of beverages, and are just musing with glass in hand and watch in mind? I missed much of that when looking at his watch, and I thank you for the description.
Regarding the meaningfulness and attractiveness of various aspects of independent watchmaking, I liked the comment by Loudovic Ballouard about his upsidedown watch, which I paraphrase here:
"It doesn't have to be accurate because everyone is playing with it all the time, not letting it alone to keep time"
