Andersen Genève BHH Celestial Voyageur. Almost perfect!

Jul 25, 2021,10:41 AM

I've just seen pictures of a beautiful world time, which could be perfect if only...

A real charm, this watch is, for sure: The dimensions are perfect for me: 37, 8 mm big, 10, 1 mm high. Cherry on the cake, it is a platinum case, which offers a superb density to the watch, as it is not too big nor too thick.

The dial is exquisite, or should I say the dials, as they are all different, for this LE of 7 pieces. Enamel for the main dial, aventurine for the cities ring, just sublime.

The hands are exquisite, too. Leaf shaped and skeleton.

The movement, a good old  automatic AS 1876 reworked by Andersen Genève and modified with a World Time module is nice looking, with its blue gold rotor.

No, the only problem I see is the too intrusive BHH mention, on the dial, which ruins it a bit, and on the case back. Without these mentions, it would have been perfect!

Here are the official pictures:

What do you think?

Best,

nicolas

These are perfect and gorgeous Watches from a true master watchmaker . Would love to own a masterpiece from the brand one day , especially a word timer like this

I thought exactly the same thing.

These are perfect, aside from the name on the dial. It makes me want to contact Andersen Geneve--which I seem to recall does custom work for surprisingly reasonable prices--and ask them to make me one just like these, but sans logo!

My precise sentiments Nico

A near perfect watch and a better rendition of the world timer than Andersen Geneve's own world timer which I believe is 39mm. But I guess, this is a collaboration so BCHH must appear somewhere. I would of course ask Svend to change the BCHH on the dial t...

I made that comment elsewhere about the BCHH.

I find it completely unnecessary on the dial side and suggests just a touch of 'vanity project'.

I should probably balance the argument though on a macro level...

Since Svend doesn't actually 'run' the company anymore, I think these collaborations will serve to expand recognition and that has to be one of the objectives of any new owner. Perhaps there are more subtle ways to achieve this, but ultimately younger col...

Maybe that be able to learn...

To ignore that logo, and concentrate on the rest of the dial?

I tend to agree. Maybe...

If for some reason, you must have one?

I agree with you. (nt)

who can argue with its beauty... ?? But at a glance... and even at deeper attention... does it not look like so many other world watches? I wish it expressed its own DNA in some dynamic recognizable way? Now, with that said, who can argue with something s...

Sublime!

I like the fact that the colouration of the continents extends beyond their current limits. I'm not sure if it is intentional but it allows the viewer to imagine the 10 million square miles of land that was submerged some 10,000 years ago and it's a remin...
