Would not hold the dead companies against him, as sometimes great ideas do not gather enough traction. The lawsuits and contractual breaches should be concerning to collectors and investors. Where possible, it would be helpful to provide references and let people decide for themselves. Entering into a contract with this person might be a bad idea, as this appears to be more than a typical case of a watchmaker spreading their time too thin.

This one is for aficionados of contract law only: gavclaw.com /

Here's a Bonham's auction result of a Marc Brogsitter watch: www.bonhams.com /

Wondering if this was a prototype now. Marc Brogsitter watches were always fascinating, but very rare to come across any for sale.

My layman's web search does not turn up any results for the German widow, Chronoswiss or the Festina group. Were these settled privately?

The people doing business with Frassdorf should already be aware of his history of failed projects, but there's always somebody willing to roll the dice one more time. "This time, it's different."

Karsten Frässdorf - A honest portrait

 By: watching00000 : September 10th, 2020-02:38
You may know Karsten Frässdorf (KF) from his most recent project "Montres KF" and the blatantly praising blog posts from MonochromeWatches. Since especially with independent watchmakers, you largely invest / buy into the person behind the brand, I think i...

Well, I have never even heard of the guy but your disdain for him sure is clear.

I don't believe the motive of the article is to protect other members here.

So what's my motivation?

 By: watching00000 : September 10th, 2020-09:14
Please enlighten me! I guess a "disdain" for people with such a track-record is not valid in your eyes? Only blind praise?

But anyway typical for trolls...

Instead of judging the content like I suggest, you judge the "motivation" behind it. SAD.

Well, no need to judge the content if the motivation is questionable.

You have 12 posts and write an essay criticizing this guy. Correct or not, that's not what this website is about. And oh by the way, I have been "trolling" here since the inception of this website. 20 years now.

That’s the definition of trolling

 By: watching00000 : September 10th, 2020-14:34
And 12 posts make the content less relevant? Your 20 years on the other hand should make people believe you blindly? So far you have done nothing but trying to undermine the statements by undermining the person posting them. But no problem: I will spend m...

Actually, Michael has been here for 20 years

The site was originally called ThePuristS and changed to WatchProSite in 2006. Because it moved to a new platform, everyone got new joining dates. That's why all the old-timers here have a December 2006 join date, but some of us go back much longer than t...

Well, to put it this way...

Never met him, had an appointment, but canceled it after I found all these Information either on this side or after digging deeper. Anyway, expect this to be my last post because I’m tired of forums like this to be honest. I will leave you guys to your AP...

BTW: I confronted him...

When I called him & after he told me that he was never in any legal dispute and that Mr Brogsitter was simply heading into a different direction. Based on the legal papers, all the other information I gathered when I contacted the people in charge of mana...

Thanks for the additional context

I also read your earlier posts and I appreciate your insight on pulling back the curtain on Independent Watchmaking a little bit. I do hope you’ll continue to post from time-to-time.

Well to be honest...

I always felt like the offline watch collecting community was my home. And I only slowly started engaging online. But these „trolling“ comments - not referring to your comment - kind of confirm my intuition that online conversation are completely decouple...

this is like: you haven't published anything in Nature therefore your article is not credible. By contrast, I have commented on the journal for 20 years so I am always right.

By this logic...

If you want to gain your PhD, you must have a record of years of published papers, no matter of the scientific or factual correctness of your work. But to build this record, you need to publish a paper and that can’t be since you have no record. Game over...

Reference to the lawsuit „Brogsitter“

 By: watching00000 : September 10th, 2020-14:40
The other lawsuits were settled privately. Due to the legitimate claims of Brogsitter, he had the right to receive possible funds first and subsequently was also informed about the results of other lawsuits. That’s why the content of these lawsuits came t...
