Hublot
Let's start with the grand complication. Two pieces (prototypes) are featured here, in collaboration with Matthia Buttet (previously of BNB Concept)
This is the Master Piece #2 - the Key of Time. It's a 5 day power reserve tourbillon that allows the user to set the time to be 4X or 1/4X the current speed with a selector, and can always go back to the correct time. A very fascinating technical novelty, so if you are a lawyer who bills by the hour then you can set it to go 4X as fast, or if you are having a romantic dinner with your significant other then you can set it to 1/4X - of course, both will only work if the other party does not have a watch that shows the correct time =)
It's quite amazing to see the minute hand move at 4X the normal speed, I feel life is flashing by before me...
Now the Master Piece #1 - the 10-day power reserve (thanks to its 3 barrels) monopusher chronograph, with open work dial.
Now, the typical offering from Hublot - a plethora of different colors made my head dizzy!
I will now let the photos speak...
The Vendome collection, with red-tinted crystals. Notice the right side of the "H" logo is taller. Available only in Hublot boutiques
The New Diver's watch, water resistant to 4000 meters. The rotating inner bezel is operated by the crown at 2'O clock.
The Big Bang "Leopard" for ladies - the color of the dial and the strap should be more vibrant, to get a better execution. Both look quite faded (I repeatedly asked whether it is a prototype and was told "no").
The white and black Caviar (faceted ceramic)
An overwhelming set of introductions, speared by two very innovative pieces typical of Mr. Matthia Buttet's imagination. I needed to sit down and take some coffee, after being bombarded with so many striking color patterns=)
Hope you have enjoyed the post.
Yours Truly,
Jon (Z3)
