Hublot

A few more details....

Hublot uses WiseKey, which is a bank-level encrypted smart card.

When the authorised dealer sells the watch, he activates the two year warranty and the clock starts ticking. Each watch comes with it's own USB reader and wisekey card.

Any service or "event" is entered onto the WiseKey card and record, much like a passport is marked whenever you have a border crossing event.

Only an AD can activate a warranty, they need their dealer card to access the system.

Once the end user possesses an activated warranty card, he/she can visit http://vip.hublot.com and read all about their watch: manuals, materials, etc.... They can also join an on-line owners community if they so choose.

Thus the system is:

anti-counterfeit, as only a real watch will have a real WiseKey card
  • anti grey market, as only an AD can activate a warranty
