Your opinions please...
I am seeking your
opinion on a upcoming purchase that I need to make. I am deciding on
the gift that will be given to me for a special occasion. This must be a
good long term choice, since I can never sell this one.
This is what I have been leaning towards...
Something with a light dial and blue or silver hands, as my other
watches are dark dials. I want something that is not overly large or
sporty, not a trendy style, something more classic or traditional. I am
not looking for a very dressy watch either, so something that can be
casual.
A) Preowned IWC Portuguese 3714 (Blue hands, silver dial)
- Classic IWC, but is it OVER produced? Would I be better off saving for 5001?
B) Preowned UN Marine Annual Chrono (White dial blue hands)
- Nice dial, fan of UN, but I own a MMC43 black dial, so is this too similar? Discontinued model, is that good or bad?
C) New, due out later this year IWC Portofino Chrono
Drawback is that I haven't seen this in person, would like to purchase soon rather than wait until autumn, but it looks very nice.
I appreciate any thoughts or opinions

I really find the Portofino very disappointing, the UN is the most original with the best finishings but its design doesn't speak too much to me. Great watch by the way. The Portuguese chronograph is a nice watch but I would prefer to save money and to go...
