Horological Meandering

You raise some good points Marcus

I didn't notice at first the absence of markers on the counters, but now that you mention it their non-existence is glaringly obvious! In fact it puts me off the design a bit, just a bit. I could probably live with it though because let's face it - if you are serious about measuring elapsed time, why would anyone choose a mechanical analogue watch where the main hour & minute hands often obscure the smaller chrono hands anyway? Unless the face is designed to have completely non-overlapping hands, then this will always be a compromise. I love chronographs, and 90% of my watches are chronos, but I buy them just for the look, not the function. Getting back to Corum - I absolutely love their latest offerings, best in years, like the way things are heading with the more understated designs that still retain the Corum DNA, without being ostentatious. Corum are well and truly back on my hitlist!
