I had a custom made "Hindi numeral" dial made by Laine. His blue dial has a "hand hammered" look that shimmers in certain light and is flat blue at other angles. Truly a work of art that must be appreciated in person.
I bought it sight unseen - meaning, I did not wait to see it in person. I am so glad I did.
i read about his when he won the Lange Award some years back - i think that itself is a strong credibility to his ability !

The before and after of the Valjoux 22 movement is remarkable. He did an incredible job finishing it and added multiple in house parts. It speaks to his ability as a creative mind in terms of movements AND his movement finishing skills

2.5 Hz is fine for a seconds sub-dial.
The hand movement will look smooth compared to a central hand, and it extends power reserve without a lot of highly polished going train components to reduce friction.
