Well PPlater, yet another mind breaking interesting topic from my second home country ---
I think we should and already are discussing value (in some respect) in some posts.
Value has to do with what we as individuals value on a watch - which might change over time. I for one have never (until a year or two back) liked chronographs. So until recently would a Rolex PN NOT turn me on and would be of no value for me. Today I have a few chronographs and are looking out for a PN.. So value for me has changed. But I would never buy a watch because others have a high "value" on it. If so might the actual dollar value be to high compared to other offers I might look at..
What I "value" on awatch is simplicity - thats why a A. Lange & Söhne Richard Lange for me has more value than a bling designer watch with a ETA calibre.. nothing against a ETA, I like them, I just "value" an inhousee calibre and a brilliant attention to details and the inner "values" more. Maybe also because I am dane, where we more appreciate understatement and inner values more than the show off (t least where I am from in Denmark..)
Thats was my 2ct
Cheers
Hans
