Well, that depends.

I'm a newbie to Seiko as previously, I never gave the brand a second look. But now, I am taking a closer look at them and just received my GS GMT SBGM003. With the exception of the Discus Burger, I like the GSs over the other models. I think that because of the GSs, Seiko has now raised the bar for their entire line, IMHO. How can they now not apply their craftsmanship to their other models? For the price, the GSs are very affordable and, IMO, the value is worth more than their price. Of course, from the Grand Seikos, you can jump to their top of the line, Credor watches. However, not everyone can afford the Credor line and the general populace may even gawk at the cost of a GS. So hopefully, Seiko will continue to keep separate, the general audience, the GS audience and the Credor audience.

Just my 2¢

Bob

This may change your mind. I've been keeping track of Seiko's releases closely since they released their new movement, the 6R15, in the Spirit line. Then, the line expanded with several additions over the past couple of years (as I bought and sold my SCV0...

If Seiko models are "catching up" with Grand Seiko, would GS still be something to aim for? What is the community perception of the added value of GS over the newer improved Seikos? Regards, MTF

Well, that depends.

Nice but a bit too subtle. Perhaps, I think this is how it should look like. It does not excite me from the picture. May be I should try it on before I say I won't buy it. Regards Ling

Check out this Grand Seiko GMT SBGM003. Though simple in design and look, It is not as "plain" and visually stunning. Just do a search in this forum and you will find various GSs. Bob

Thanks for showing this gem here.
