my boat there are a lot of the new Seiko's that do. the premier range of automatics seem to have excellent attention to detail. a always look at the hands of a watch before anything else and the hands of the new ranges look sharp and well made. GS and credor are still the top of the tree, but the midrange are catching up.

This may change your mind. I've been keeping track of Seiko's releases closely since they released their new movement, the 6R15, in the Spirit line. Then, the line expanded with several additions over the past couple of years (as I bought and sold my SCV0...

If Seiko models are "catching up" with Grand Seiko, would GS still be something to aim for? What is the community perception of the added value of GS over the newer improved Seikos? Regards, MTF

Nice but a bit too subtle. Perhaps, I think this is how it should look like. It does not excite me from the picture. May be I should try it on before I say I won't buy it. Regards Ling

Check out this Grand Seiko GMT SBGM003. Though simple in design and look, It is not as "plain" and visually stunning. Just do a search in this forum and you will find various GSs. Bob
