Weekend watch : the Jaeger & Benzinger Edition 6 Vintage.

After a 6 month wait I finally received my personalized Edition 6 Vintage from Jaeger & Benzinger.

This from a very small German niche brand operated by Jochen Benzinger and his friend Kay Jaeger.

Other than the Benzinger watches these are somewhat more restrained and conservative but still taking full advantage from the artisanal skills of Jochen Benzinger.

Upon my request,Jochen agreed to change the dial of an existing model to a two-tone rhodium look : I think that the result is stunning!

The watch has perfect proportions with 38 x 8 mm and wears supremely comfortable.

I guess that no one does hand guilloche better than Jochen Benzinger !!

One of the highlights of the watch is the use of a real vintage movement : the AS 1130 .

This is a movement produced in the 40ies - late 60ies and which was renowned for its robustness and accuracy.

Of course heavily modified with guilloche main plates,hand engraved balance bridge and thermally blued screws !

And very well regulated with almost no daily deviation !!
