I think they'll be back on the street after several years. It's not that long. Grand larceny even with a gun enhancement is probably around eight years would be my guess... The recommended sentencing range for Grand Larceny is around 15 months to 25 years (location dependent). So it's a huge range! A decent lawyer could probably get things down to a single digit number.

It is a nice place. Built not only to be a mall, but a community center as well. Hopefully they catch all the thieves. Sounds like they've only caught around half of them.

Some of the countermeasures should be advertised to discourage thieves. Others should be kept hidden to prevent thieves from looking for the countermeasures!
Huge thanks Patrick, this is truly a promising update! I'm sure I can speak for all of our Members --- in fact, for all decent citizens! --- by thanking Law Enforcement for their terrific job in capturing the alleged criminals in only four months!
We'll be looking forward to the third (and hopefully final) update on this story, and to publicly congratulating the judge and all prosecutors and attorneys involved in this case, once real justice will be delivered on behalf of the community of San Ramon...

Who knows, they might hire a great criminal lawyer. And the criminal lawyer may find improper police procedures. And then have that evidence thrown out! I'm not an expert in the criminal court system. But yes, we need these criminals to pay their debt to ...

They're not stealing the boxes...
They're just stealing the watches on the display forms. They're not getting the boxes nor the warranty papers/booklets. So most likely the GPS is somewhere either inside the watch!!! There may be a few dummy watches. Remember, a lot of these display watch...

Not California courts now. Then again, I don't know. And I'm not an expert in criminal law. With the injuries and the panic that was created, these fellas will see prison. Hopefully for a long time!

The Federal due process system is very different. Some criminal lawyers aren't even familiar with the Federal Court system. Either way... Hopefully the selfish thieves do pay their debt to society!
