Watchprosite weigh-in

Weight is an important characteristic of a watch, yet one that is rarely mentioned in watch reviews and releases. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to weigh all the watches and my collection, and share the heaviest and lightest ones. Please forgive the low-quality photos and filthy scale (don't worry, it will be cleaned before any use in the kitchen).

First we have this TV dial omega geneve. With the bracelet it is the heaviest one, at 94 grams.

However, it's clear that if this Seiko 7002 was on a bracelet, it would be the heaviest. On this NATO it sits at 89g.

The lightest is this Seiko Lord Marvel 36000. Still waiting on that replacement crystal... In any case, in this configuration it weighs in at 44g.

But once again, the bracelet makes a difference. If this technochas were on a strap instead of this mesh bracelet, it would definitely be lighter. But, as of right now, it weighs 47 grams.

If any of you have some time to kill, feel free to share the numbers from your collections!

A little strange that omega doesn't have an ultra-light watch in their range, given how many of their brand ambassadors are sportsmen, and how many sporting events they sponsor. I am a big tennis fan, so my knowledge of the watches of sportsmen starts and...

I surf on the Omega website from time to time. There is a light Omega luxury watch on their catalog. I think it is a special Aqua Terra that is limited and…. very expensive. Not great for the big public who can not get their hands on such a watch. Rich at...
