I believe the first step would be finding a brand amenable to this... I think we all know some brands that have done editions recently... cartier, montblanc, blancpain, un, pf and some others.
Personally I'd love a pf Tonda, however, the no date sand colored one they just released would be hard to beat. I love the idea of a cartier dantos-dumont- expand from what they have with different color combinations, dial and hands (would need to look back at older models for inspiration).
I love the idea of a MB pythagore- my idea would be steel case (like the LE 38 they did), or plt?, and a cool dial (aventurine?) with naybe a ghosted minerva arrow in the seconds track? A cal 13 would be cool, but based on recent releases that would be 35k USD+ which could be fine.
LUC a lot of options. Maybe use the 36.5mm case? Or the QF case (honestly doesn't need the QF certification, however) since it's 39mm.
For blancpain maybe a special edition based off the new 42mm release? New colors. Ditch the date. Or the case they have used for previous special editions (40mm I believe). Nico would have a lot of knowledge here with historic pieces.
I like the idea of bregiet XX but too thick IMO.
Could do micro brand, sartory Bullard with tanalum case? Felipe Pikullik has some good stuff- aventurine here too.
Too bad I've missed all the previous weird being here since 2011 and lurking before that. I'd be interested in the future ones 👍
