Horological Meandering

Tough call, DB . . .

. . . because the Milgauss is such an understated design with a dash of Tabasco (e.g., the lightning bolt seconds hand), and the Overseas (which I've owned) is, in my opinion, the most elegantly turned out of the sports watch genre. Both have movements of interest, but I think most would give the Milgauss the edge here on technical merit and ruggedness; of course, there's the issue of the absent date indicator, which might or might not be critical, depending on your preferences. I haven't tried the Milgauss on yet, but the Overseas is easily the most comfortable all-metal watch I've ever tried on . . . my guess is that my experience wouldn't necessarily carry over due to your considerably larger wrist, as the relative compactness of the Overseas design is what makes it conducive to the wrist-challenged amongst us. This might sound trite, but the Milgauss is balanced more towards 'sport' while the Overseas tends towards upscale. This is one decision to make at a dealer that carries both, DB . . . only an instantaneous comparison will let you know for sure which is the more satisfying . . . cordially, Art
