I've seen an Italian fella wear what looked like very vintage Italian village clothing (think rustic, even more rustic than Cucinelli with a more vintage vibe) with a rose gold and titanium Roland Iten belt (and a very modern Bulgari Octo watch in rose go... 

Italians can get away with anything when it comes to fashion : )

You’re right! There is a bit of a gadget vibe. But so are all the unnecessary complications on a watch. I’ve never ever used my chronograph to time something. And the split seconds feature while being super cool has never been particularly useful. I guess...

I’ve been following Roland Iten since they first launched in 2004. And I finally saw the piece in person and tried it on in Switzerland. After that, it was a disease. And a year or so later I eventually bought one.

Look at an iPhone. Let's say it costs over a billion dollars to research and develop an iPhone. Fortunately, they make 200 million of them a year! So those costs are amortized heavily. Why is Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, and BMW able to produce fantastic cars...
