like why people appreciate Picasso’s Art or Artists with special talents.

I can see why Mr Stern prefers “grand complication” should be left to the specialty of a Master but I also understand there is a need to pass down a skill which may be extinct.

If something special becomes generic, then that beauty is gone.

That where I’m coming from, thinking such complication should not become generic.

My idea of a grand complication should be a skill that only the Master or Shi-Fu can do...not apprentice or machines. That to me, kind of ruins the beauty of watch making.
